Italian Cooking Class Benefit, April 17, 2009, 6:00-8:00 PM

Please come and enjoy an evening of fun and food with Chef entertainer Jerry Pizzitola. Watch as Jerry demonstrates how to make fresh mozzarella and taste the results with some crusty bread and fresh basil pesto. Menu also includes: fresh spring salad with pecan crusted salmon petals and saffron orange dressing; chocolate orange pots de créme with amaretto cream.

Thai Cooking Class Benefit, October 20, 2008, 6:30-9:00 PM

Join Chon Som for their first Thai Cooking Class with Executive Chef Alisa Vilasvoratarn benefiting the local nonprofit Keep It Healthy. Alisa has been a Thai chef for over 15 years and has taught cooking classes across Southwest. You'll experience a night filled with Thai spices, sizzling saute and a fresh new look at how to make Thai cooking healthy, easy and delicious.

Ticket Price: $50 includes an evening full of delicious Thai food, hands-on cooking, and fun. Space is limited so purchase your tickets via the PayPal quickly. To purchase by mail send the check to Keep It Healthy, PO Box 5502, Austin, TX 78763. Reservation deadline is September 25th. Don’t fret though! When this event sells out, we will start selling spaces for a second event on Monday, October 20th.

Proceeds will go to support Keep it Healthy, a local nonprofit focused on reducing the incidence of diabetes and obesity among families living in underserved communities by teaching healthy behaviors through community-based intervention programs.
